The
cedar tree is a sad casualty of one of the many Oriental Bittersweet vines in the yard. I took a close up of it last year, and you can see it's alive on the bottom but not the top.The second photo shows the cedar tree from farther away that I took today.
The third photo of the girls shows that same corner from a different perspective than the next two photos, but you can see that you couldn't see the road because of the massive Oriental Bittersweet that is growing next to the cedar tree. That one tuber grew into that cedar and the rest of the evergreens in that corner.
The fourth photo shows that you cannot see the neighbor's house or road through the brush around the base of the trees and the foliage from the Oriental Bittersweet.
The fifth photo (two photos spliced together) shows the March 2009 view, and the last is the April 2009 view. The cedar tree is in the left 1/3 near the road.
The final photo is one I took today. The rocks around the flower bed are ones we found in the yard, plus ones we gather on our walks through the woods each day. We hope to have the circle complete in the next couple of weeks!
